Position Overview
The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various conservation projects, including recycling, community greening, and beautification. This role involves supervising staff, managing project logistics, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with safety and budget standards. The position also includes grant writing, reporting, and fostering strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive the department's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, bid, and evaluate conservation projects, including recycling, land management, and community beautification, in partnership with various sectors.
- Assist in preparing grant applications, particularly for environmental and recycling-related funding opportunities.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Crew Supervisors to ensure smooth project execution and staff development.
- Conduct safety sessions and ensure all safety protocols are followed during project activities.
- Manage project schedules, logistics, and coordination with external partners and stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
- Lead business development efforts by securing new accounts and contracts to expand the department’s portfolio.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure budget adherence, including tracking revenue from commercial recyclers and preparing reports on project activities.
Other Requirements
- Employment is subject to confirmation of a clean driving record.
- A valid Class C Driver's License and DMV record are required.
- First Aid/CPR certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
